Angel Whispers – Decision-making Strategy

We all have a part of us that acts to guard our mind. The mind guard’s job is to filter through information to control its input. It may seem like the focus is on a solution. But the filter acts to limit the number of possibilities. This is sometimes due to the focus remaining on the problem. It may help any decision to limit the choices. We can create an infinity of options, but our mind guard can limit the number of viable solutions. The result can be positive or negative.

An internal desire to conform to society produces decisions based on avoidance. By playing it safe, you avoid being labeled an outcast. The mind guard steers us away from conflict. Any potential solution carries forward the bias created by emotions around the issue. These factors playing out in the mind can result in a dysfunctional decision-making strategy.

My decision-making strategy, according to human design experts, is purely instinctual. I know what to do in the first 10 minutes of facing a decision, without knowing how I know (tee hee). If too much time passes, I can get lost in the analytics. Not everyone is designed this way.

The world moves so fast, almost everyone employs a mental shortcut in their decisions. The shortcut represents how likely the outcome is, based on past experience. If the mind concludes a good chance of a negative outcome, the decision is made based on a mental prototype. It’s time for another decision on how to tune in to an angel who whispers on the subject:

Decisions can always be clouded by several factors. Any type of bias can influence the path, then justify the outcome. Remaining neutral is challenging when facing major decisions. Emotions can take over the process and lead to dysfunctional decision-making. Gathering the information needed can bring grounding energy to smooth things out.

Too many options or too many decisions can have a negative impact. If this is something you often face, use small decisions to leverage change. Making quick decisions around small things can provide a positive shift in patterns. It’s always helpful to evaluate a decision by looking at the contrast. When considering a decision that seems counter-intuitive, feel the vibe. Like trying on new clothes, you get to see what fits.

Writing out the pros and cons is a method of mind mapping. This can bring better clarity through gathering information. Exploring options through evidence can bring an immediate sense of direction. Seeking alternatives increases the creative energy that releases limitations. What follows can be an illumination of information, emotions, and a call to action.

Weigh the risk, measure the uncertainty, compare experiences, and try not to get lost in the details. The benefits may appear in a way that shatters any previous belief. Once the process has reached a level of security, you will stop searching for information. When the heart and mind work in balanced unison, the decision-making strategy performs the best.

Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
