Angel Whispers – Satisfaction

My grandson was watching a YouTube video of a truck running over tubes of caulk. Globs of the material would explode out the ends under the weight of the big truck. When I asked what he gets from the video experience, he replied, “It’s SOOOO satisfying!” Then there is Mick Jagger, who can’t seem to get no satisfaction. (tee hee)

Satisfaction is more than feeling; it’s a state of being. Some might confuse satisfaction with happiness. A deep sense of contentment seems a bit more complex than happiness. Satisfaction is an evaluation of life as a whole in the moment of fulfillment. It is an overall assessment of feelings and attitudes about a particular point in time. Some might be negative and some positive, but the general sense is gratification.

Quality of life can have a value as a whole, despite the challenges. Satisfaction could represent a cognitive view of an underlying state holding that value. Consistency with positive emotions brings a focus to contentment and a sense of wellbeing. Moments of happiness could be fleeting, which sets it apart from satisfaction. Getting a whisper on the subject has the same effect as the truck running over tubes of caulk. Let’s use that feeling to open the door for a whisper on satisfaction:

Satisfaction comes from gratitude for life as it is. Positive emotions, purpose, meaning, accomplishments, and engagement are main factors of contentment. Any assessment of life is subject to judgment of viewpoints around many variables. What defines importance will vary with every person.

Emotions play a major role in the evaluation of current states. Well-regulated emotions create the stability leading to a sense of accomplishment. Feeling satisfied with life can come from faith as an energy that moves from the top down. This type of flow leads to more feelings of satisfaction. Contentment with aspects of the material world moves energy from the root upward. This can inspire performance that leads to accomplishments, adding fulfillment to life.

Some will form judgments through a comparison. Is this the best version of self when applied to thoughts of an ideal life? A successful marriage, job, and family could check the boxes of the younger version of self. The translation is happiness and a sense of living the life that was the initial plan. Comparison could lead to fleeting assessments of happiness that are more spontaneous. Such happiness might not be sustainable enough to create satisfaction.

The construct formed around happiness, satisfaction, wellbeing, and gratitude are influences of conditioning. The vibrations that surround you will entrain the energy system. Use discernment with your environment and check your concepts of life. Emotional contentment is a construct of the mind, body, and spirit. Thoughts, beliefs, and emotions anchored in a positive reality form the path to satisfaction. Love for life is a practical engagement with the best version of self.

Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell
