Last weekend provided one of those moments in life that became indelibly etched in the story of my soul. When a friend encouraged me to become ordained through an online service so that I could be a wedding officiate, I complied without much resistance. Little did I know that I would be presiding over the union of my son and his bride.
The ceremony was very emotional, as it carried the energy of their journey together, with all the challenges they faced over the 12 years leading up to the special day. Having most of our family present was icing on the proverbial cake and the reward for the hard work that went into the joyous occasion. All my effort as an intuitive coalesced as I was writing the ceremony. Channeling angels can have its profound, unexpected moments with a task like this (tee tee)!
One line spoke to the chapters of their lives being written with the following words: “Music is the bookmark for the chapters in our lives, opening the hearts to the pages of our love stories. We might not be able to describe how, but music blesses the union of hearts with an eternal bond.” I loved that line, more than most others I have written (lol). Let’s get more lines in the form of a whisper from an angel on weddings:
Sacred unions of the heart are a rich part of the tapestry of human history. The formal promise found in a wedding vow becomes embedded in the journey of the soul while marking the willingness to explore the deepest aspects of the relationship. Like the seed to a tree, the future family puts down roots with the ceremonious commitment made during a wedding.
The wedding ceremony serves to further the intentions of the life partnership, with close friends and family becoming witnesses to the agreement. The ceremony is but one aspect that signifies the union of two hearts. Every moment in life offers the opportunity for actions that mirror the vows made during the formal ceremony.
Marriage is the dance of two individuals joining forces to become one in a fluid movement across a lifetime of experiences. Music strengthens the bond, through shared experiences manifesting in a vibration that each person relates to on some level. The bond becomes eternal when connecting to the vibrations that communicate love in a way that expresses the emotional attachment through song, breath, and spirit.
Each soul carries a fire, created by a single spark and ignited by the passion that love stimulates. It is each person’s individual responsibility to feed the fire, fan the flames, and enjoy the warmth of a satisfying love. The wedding may mean more than meets the eye, for love meets the heart in ways that are unspoken.
Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
