Lucid dreams are those that occur when you know you’re dreaming while you’re asleep. I have studied this subject extensively since it has become my common experience that includes dreaming in chapters, in real time, and continuation dreams days apart. In lucid dreams you’re aware that the events flashing across the dream movie screen aren’t really happening, yet they carry vivid and real sights, feelings, and emotions. Some people can control how the action unfolds, like the director of a movie.
Studies suggest that about half of people may have had at least one lucid dream. But they probably don’t happen often, usually only a handful of times in a year. Researchers believe lucid dreams are most common during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, a period of deep sleep marked by eye motion, faster breathing, and more brain activity. Neuroscientists don’t know exactly how and why lucid dreams happen, but one study describes lucid dreaming as a kind of “between state” where you aren’t fully awake but not quite asleep, either.
For lucid dreamers the very front part of the brain, called the prefrontal cortex, is larger. This area of the brain is the site of high-level tasks like making decisions and recalling memories. The study suggests that folks who are most likely to have lucid dreams tend to be self-reflective types who chew over thoughts in their heads. Could I be one of those self-reflective types? (tee hee) The benefits of lucid dreaming are less anxiety, better motor skills, improved problem-solving, and more creativity. Some of the possible dangers are poor sleep quality and mental health disorders. Let’s get a whisper on lucid dreaming.
Awakenings occur in both large and small doses for the soul seeking enlightenment. Lucid dreaming is a spiritual experience where twilight learning can occur in a way that encourages the spirit to awaken. The heightened awareness that occurs in multiple dimensions during a lucid dream can be linked to awakenings as a method of cleansing from the past, increasing spiritual understanding, expansion of consciousness, and personal evolution.
Being awake and asleep simultaneously provides a moment of presence during a highly creative process. Understanding the vision, people, activity, plot, theme, and emotions are all responses to the life you are living. Lucid dreams are the artistry of the spirit creating images on the canvas of the mind, evoking a reflection of the soul. Deeply repressed emotions and thoughts are given the freedom to express in this unusual type of art form. Lucid dreams can express derived value from experiences where emotions, beliefs, thoughts, and ideas are evoked.
The vibrations organized by Universal rhythms are immutable. The soul adapts, grows, and learns to align with the source of all divine love through spiritual learning and development. Lucid dreaming is but one tool available to those who dare to reach for a higher potential. Moving beyond what was considered possible is attaining a level that was held back in wakeful considerations. The lucid dreamer observes a vision that illuminates the path toward higher consciousness, awakenings, and enlightenment.
Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!

“By embracing your subconscious, you gain a different way of seeing and experiencing—an expanded perception that opens a doorway, not only to lucid dreams, but also to the mythic dimension. As in lucid dreams, you see yourself or others with new eyes; your senses awaken and grasp an experience more fully than ever before; suddenly, you find your ears are open to hear with a deeper understanding.”
