Have you ever tried blowing the leaves off your driveway, only to be met with a powerful gust of wind that drives them into your face? What about shoveling snow off the driveway, only to wake up to find another 6 inches piled up? Did you ever put your best effort into making something happen, only to go nowhere? I have done all three in the past few weeks! (tee hee) This week seemed different as I was able to get myself into some sort of rhythm and flow. In Star Wars, Luke learns how to use the force to make the impossible happen. But not before giving up completely when he couldn’t raise his X-wing Starfighter from the depths of the swamp on the planet Dagobah. Yoda had to show Luke how using the force was more than a state of mind. Luke had to give up to learn what it meant to use the force. Yoda could have stopped Luke from leaving Dagobah in The Empire Strikes Back if he wanted to, but knew it was time to let him go. So maybe using the force is really all about letting go?
Esther Hicks, who channels the messages of Abraham, refers to something similar to having the force with you as being in the vortex. Having a positive mindset is one ingredient, but that alone cannot be the only determining factor. I get the feeling it’s more of a body, mind, and spirit alignment that creates the ability to be in the flow of energy that produces higher levels of manifestation. Then there is my thought that saying “May the force be with you” is like wishing someone good luck. We all need some luck these days. So let’s see what happens when we use the force to manifest a whisper from spirit on being in the flow of life:
Humans are experiencing a physical existence while living in a magnetic domain in a world of polarities. The Universal Laws that govern such an environment guarantee the unexpected will always occur. Even on a windless day, the effort to move the leaves in a desired direction will be met with an unseen force that moves some in the opposite direction. Synergy between the leaf and the one blowing the leaves involves a dynamic energy that brings the two together with a force greater than that generated by the blower.
When your intention is to be more in the flow of life, you are aiming to get in touch with nature. It’s a lot like a dance. Producing a combined effect between two separate energies that is greater than the sum of their separate effects depends on a harmonious state of being. The collaboration that leads to a balanced result is achieved when alignment with natural states is realized. In that moment, the force is with you and you are with the force.
Giving up will not create synergy, as it represents an energy leak. Letting go is releasing limitations of the body, mind, and spirit to let nature take the highest potential course. Allowing love to lead precedes human energy taking flight. There can be no fire without oxygen, no waterfall without gravity, no light without dark, and no mystery when everything is known. There can be harmony between two opposing forces that become unified in a glorious dance across the Universe. An energy that cannot be seen, touched, or heard can be channeled into a flow of life-giving energy where the most natural state of being is achieved. In that moment, the force is with you.
Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell

As Obi-Wan encourages Luke in training, sometimes you have to go with instinct over what seems obvious.
