According to Dr. William Baldwin, who was a clinical psychologist, broken promises seem to be a major aspect of pain and suffering. This aspect occurs especially in love relationships that ended in a breach or compromise that ultimately led to some form of separation. In other lifetimes, a broken promise can occur when a soldier fails to return home. The marriage vow is left open, and the result of that type of experience can trigger abandonment and clinginess around love relationships.
I am also curious about the whispers that have shown up around signing contracts. We are constantly being asked to acknowledge terms and conditions, sign all types of agreements, and to commit to support a variety of people and causes. It’s gotten to the point that I don’t even want to answer the door when the clipboard person shows up (tee tee). But seriously, does signing on the dotted line hold potential regarding some type of energetic issue?
The whisper two weeks ago on being late, sparked my interest in this subject. The whispers from spirit seemed to indicate a somewhat serious energetic compromise when breaking a commitment that might seem trivial on many levels. A curious heart and mind wants to know more about broken promises, so whisper on as I promise to listen:
Everyone has experienced broken promises on some level, which supports emotions around abandonment. Building trust after experiencing a broken promise can be similar to filling a balloon that has a pinhole leak. The energy is there for a short time, but then it is gone. Energy leaks indicate a need for healing and the potential existence of an issue regarding a soul contract made in this lifetime or another. Soul contracts can include a wide range of agreements, from some subtle ones with the self, to taking a vow, to making a ceremonious agreement, or something more formal like a signed contract.
Broken promises erode trust, which is part of the central mission of incarnating to experience the deepest level of love. The erosion of trust can have an energetic consequence. Loss of a loved one can feel like a broken promise from God. Abuse can be breaking a spiritual promise to love one another. Identifying the broken promise that led to the erosion of trust helps with energy healing and the realignment of core vibrational frequencies. Energy balancing can heal the wounded heart. As the heart feels safe to experience more trust, the door opens wider to receiving love. Without the painful memories of the past creating an energetic burden or block, one finds the strength and courage to be more present.
Karmic connections to broken promises and the suffering that follows create a magnetic attraction. When one breaks their promise, they can begin to experience that from others. Negative repeating patterns can serve to perpetuate the harsh lessons. Finding the blessings in the life experience, acting out of service, engaging in forgiveness, and getting closer to the divine help balance the energy of the emotional residue created by a broken promise. Presence connects to the truth and enables clarity regarding current personal commitments. Honoring commitments and refusing to break any type of promise can result in the upward movement of spirit known as enlightenment.
Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell
