A new client sat in front of me, explaining his reason for booking a session. It seems a friend had told him I could pull something out of his body, which sounded great except for one issue. He wanted freedom from an addiction, which had raised a concern. ‘What if I haven’t learned the lesson?” he asked. “Then you will replace the addiction with something equally destructive.” I replied, “By the way, I don’t pull anything out of your body……you do.”
When I opened channels to the spiritual dimensions, the impression was that he had not gleaned the lessons from the experience and activity. This left us at an impasse for a moment. My client also wanted to know if a specific process would be the best solution. ‘Yes’ was the answer from spirit. The young man’s insight impressed me.
We can define insight as the sudden and often novel realization of the solution to a problem. In 1926, Graham Wallas described the four stages of insight: preparation, incubation, the flash of illumination, and verification. One model of insight tries to explain how people make discoveries that get them past impasses. The issue with insights is around trapping ourselves with flawed assumptions (tee hee). Let’s make no assumptions and enter this whisper with the innocence of a child to learn more about insights:
Insight surfaces with a focused effort to look at and solve a problem. The only preparation is a curious mind eager to find the solution. Knowing there is a lesson with the experience represents a greater level of awareness shared by few. The willingness to accept the need to fulfill a lesson is perhaps the lesson in itself. The realization of an issue such as an addiction is the first step toward understanding. Being able to admit an unhealthy activity is taking responsibility. Sharing with another person to brainstorm an answer is expressing a desire to be held accountable.
Making a connection leads to insights, Connecting with divinity, spirit, the environment, other people, illuminates life. With a greater ability to see, strategies become more available. When the mind can map out a solution, grounding occurs and opens the channels to heart. Goals are the mind messaging the Universe. Intentions are the heart beginning a dialogue with the infinite wisdom of the Universe. Together, goals and intentions create the evolution of the spirit and the awakening to life.
Many humans have highly evolved conscious development, but lack self-awareness. Sensitive and empathetic people often are more aware of others than themselves, which can block insights. The tender-hearted soul can absorb the energy of others, creating the challenge with feeling and knowing the true self. Expression of confidence over self-doubt, trust over distrust, independence over dependence, and safety over insecurity brings stability to the sensitive being.
Manifestations of alignment with life purpose occurs with overcoming such obstacles for soul growth through greater self-awareness. Look at life without making assumptions with an intention to gain insights around the lessons agreed upon by the soul.
Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell
