Thanks for asking for an angel whisper around this subject, Jo Betsy! The word ‘power’ has many different meanings, but one is the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events. Another definition regards power as the ability to control others. The term ‘authority’ is often used for power, perceived as a necessary aspect of the social structure. Power can be seen as evil or unjust, but the exercise of power is accepted as endemic to humans as social beings.
When this word is applied to inner authority, the issue of abuse of power can surface, causing a person to shrink in the face of their own power. The possibility of experiencing a form of suffering due to the effects of a power-based relationship that ended in a broken promise appears to be a consistent theme in the history of human development. What showed in session was the relationship that power and personal authority have on the ability to receive love.
Magnetic aspects that power may have on the type of person one might attract could also influence repeating patterns that might be considered negative. A pattern might seem inconsistent with a person’s true core, which would serve to add to the confusion. It would be nice to limit confusion, especially with the subject of love, so let’s tune in together for a whisper:
The stars in the night skies form constellations that bring artistic images to the minds of humans. Like paintings in the skies created by the gods, the stars offer a constant canvas for the eyes of the beholder. The stars are in constant movement, emitting a vibration that creates the music of their existence. Stars know their place in the Universe, which gives them an aura of beauty and an attraction to their energy.
Humans are the same in many ways, creating their own constellation of beauty as each one is born with a promise regarding their current incarnation. The promise carries individual actions needed to fulfill destiny and to receive their earthly bounty. From the elevated view, collective individual experiences create the opportunity to fully open the heart to receive love. This is the greatest power that each person holds, along with the power to transcend life purpose.
Natural opposition to power is supported by past abuse that has been experienced or witnessed. A soul can lose sight of their position in this life when a natural resistance to power occurs within a set of circumstances and situations. The positive effect is that all life lessons lead to discernment and stability. When feeling stable in your environment and in your relationships, security is abundant. Safety comes with knowing your place in the world enough to fearlessly embrace the power to receive love.
The ego mechanism affects the heart’s ability to open and receive love. The balancing of the heart energy of ego brings to neutral the ego-driven mental judgments. The balanced heart depends on intuition as the guiding force of love, bringing clarity to anything that supports avoiding the use of power and personal authority when it comes to aspects of love. Illusions formed by past experiences dissipate when the energy of love enters the heart in a moment of acceptance that demonstrates you possess the power to open completely to love.
Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell
“Be vulnerable! It is not someone else’s responsibility to break down your walls to get to you. It is your responsibility to let them in. This is crucial. Be more vulnerable with people in your life today. Know that being vulnerable is not a weakness – vulnerability means you are strong and secure enough within yourself to walk outside without your armor on.”
