In the year 2000, I discovered the existence of an older brother, given up for adoption at birth. A shocking secret held for more than 50 years surfaced, and a search began. We found my brother 11 years later, closing one chapter and starting a new one. This makes me an expert on the subject (tee hee)! Now people share their deepest secrets, sometimes having never told another living soul.
I define a secret as an obsession in a jar. Seriously, I was fortunate to witness the healing effects of divulging a secret. Full disclosure can be freeing. Information held secret can carry a charge, which is usually energetically draining. Most people conceal information out of a fear of consequences. With a secret comes motivation for conflict revolving around connection and intimacy. Secrets undermine relationships, leading to isolation and loneliness.
Some research indicates secrets can affect well-being. But one thing is certain from where I’m sitting – keeping secrets is exhausting! The endless mental loops and the emotional drain deplete vital resources. Even something as simple as holding one’s tongue takes energy. Speaking of energy, let’s explore the hidden realms with an inquiry on secrets:
Some secrets are multi-layered energy woven in self-deception, guilt, fear, and anticipation. Potential inability to control information leads to anxiety, which can affect performance. Higher levels of conflict around secrets impact human energy, creating a negative charge. This can occur at deep levels of consciousness. When downplaying a secret, one might be unaware of the subtle stress placed on the body.
Secrets can provide a positive charge when the information has a rising effect. Situations occur where the information is void of conflict or negative consequences. This implies the information carries a healthy aspect. The positive secret is a source of inspiration and an energy that does not provide a leak or drain on the system. Discernment determines whether there is a positive charge or negative charge. Even greater discernment involves the timing for releasing secret information.
Revealing secrets is often healing and connected to some form of justice. Secrets influence vibrations, which can attract lessons. Any repetition indicates the secret supports a pattern. To change a pattern requires leverage and the exercise of will. Secrets create a constant dilemma. Fear of rejection forms the existential threat to survival. Secrets do provide the ultimate opportunity for self-examination. An energy formed by secrets is surrounded by emotions. Such bonds of emotions to information are draining.
Use discernment to seek out safety and share your secrets with a trusted friend. Speaking around held information will bring relief and freedom through self-realization. Once illuminated, love will surround the intimacy formed by disclosing a secret.
