Angel Whispers – Self-motivation

Sometimes I get confused by my actions. What may look like a self-motivated person could be a stubborn fool in disguise (tee hee). What I’m trying to say is I can stay on task to a fault, continuing to put out effort toward a lost cause. To be fair to myself, it does take skill to maintain momentum even when it’s not the right path.

We all try to listen to that internal voice of reason. I often reach the point where stress levels work their way into my awareness. It’s often a subtle hint that tells me to step back and reassess. Is emotional intelligence at the core of my self-motivation? The more I understand the emotions around a process, the easier it is to develop strategies. A feeling of deep satisfaction is what comes from stepping outside my comfort zone. That is where I find the strength to overcome challenges.

Self-motivation is enthusiasm to achieve a goal or interest without pressure from others. It’s determination without external encouragement. It’s a hidden force that keeps me going despite any setbacks. Is this a skill, a trait, or behavior pattern that keeps me committed? The questions are mounting, which is a sure sign of self-motivation. Answers are usually found in a whisper from spirit on self-motivation:

Clarity must always be found in the purpose of your actions. With purpose, it is easier to embrace challenges with a child-like curiosity. Self-motivation is what stimulates the creative mind. It takes mental and emotional strength to maintain motivation. The slightest shift in your mindset affects self-motivation. Negative emotions can easily demotivate through feelings of uncertainty. Success in reaching goals will rarely come without unanticipated challenges.

Think of how hard it is to move against a strong wind. Yet it is the wind activating the energy of determination. Making progress in the face of obstacles brings greater definition to the goal. Overcoming the challenge with small progress provides new energy and a renewed focus. The path can be a solitary one without the recognition of others. You are a witness to your own experience, which leads to self-recognition.

Reaching small goals with inner recognition provides a much-needed reward. Small successes going unnoticed can lead to discouragement. Reflecting on your own performance is vital for self-motivation. Prideful encouragement void of arrogance allows a vision to take true form. Performance is optimized by a rested body, mind, and spirit. To thrive takes effort toward balance combined with an internal drive.

Self-motivation is connected to healthy living. Healthy relationships with strong bonds add to the desire to succeed. Maintaining a healthy environment supports taking responsibility for your life. Belief in yourself makes you an unstoppable force who has cultivated inner strength. Limitations placed on yourself require a change in your mindset. Empowering beliefs come from conditioning the mind to transform negativity. Relish the daily experience to discover the reward found in the journey itself.

Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell
