For those of you who tuned into last week’s whisper, you may know it started out as wind. Then something happened that turned it into subliminal. Was it distraction, a detour or a misdirection? When I asked for this week’s whisper, I heard wind again. It doesn’t seem like a coincidence I am currently sitting on the beach. The wind has been a strong force for the last few days and so has the personal introspection.
Wind symbolizes things in the hidden realms we cannot see with our physical eyes. It also represents change and movement. The Bible often compares the Holy Spirit to the wind. Both are supernatural energies. In that vein, wind can be a sign of divine intervention. It is an an uncontrollable force of nature that can be both beneficial and destructive.
Today’s message is a personal one, for I sense change and transformation is upon me. Call it the consciousness of change or a subtle awareness that I have learned not to ignore. The wind is calling me to prepare, but I’m not sure for what. Idioms using the wind abound like ‘the winds of change’, ‘second wind’, and ‘four sheets to the wind’. (tee hee) One idiom like ‘eat wind’ means to try and find satisfaction but get nothing in return. I need some satisfaction now, so hope I don’t come up empty on this one. Let’s listen to the wind for a whisper from the subtle realms:
Wind is the breath of the Earth. It is a powerful natural energy that activates movement. Cleansing and renewal are processes symbolized by the wind. It urges the spirit to let go in preparation of the transformation at hand. Agitation of wind is the animation of spirit. Adversity is necessary for growth and movement. The wind provides the opportunity to awaken in the midst of the challenge.
Like the wind, there is a powerful force that moves within the human energy systems. It is there as a reminder of the freedom enjoyed by each individual. Expansion of the senses symbolizes release from limitations. Change is one inescapable reality of life on Earth. The wind is a reminder to embrace the potential of a sudden new direction.
Listen to the wind and you will hear the sound of your own heart. Life is transient by nature, which the mind can fail to acknowledge. The heart can feel a new direction, for it is connected to the soul compass. Like the atmospheric currents that move around the Earth, you have a wind that moves from within. Clearing the way to higher states of consciousness, currents move to give direction.
The wind cannot say where it comes from and where it is going. Your journey is much the same. The whispers on the wind are asking if your life will provide a lasting impression of your presence. Is there resistance to the magnitude of life beyond the limitations of the mind? There is no change without meaning and no movement without purpose.
Deep respect for the powerful forces of nature describes spiritual movement toward completion. Life is striving for completion, where the search for love ends in peace and tranquility. Wind is like love. It is invisible, yet an undeniable force animating life.
Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
