Did you know that the word ‘rapture’ has almost twenty different meanings? I was unaware until studying for this whisper. The most common meaning is the prophesied sudden removal of Christians from the Earth with the second coming of Jesus during the end times. This description of rapture is found in a teaching or belief within the evangelical branches of Christianity. Many express we have entered the end times. Rapture is also defined as a feeling of being carried away by extreme happiness, love, pleasure, or bliss, or carried away in spirit. To leave and go to Heaven is a transitive verb definition. A spasm, fit, a syncope, or delirium can describe rapture, as can it refer to someone being carried away by a lofty emotion.
What has held my attention around this word lately results from several personal observations. One is the number of people leaving the planet right now. The second is the number of people with root chakra imbalances, which indicates some part of them may be floating off the ground, quite possibly toward Heaven. (tee hee) The third observation is the number of people talking about the end times, and the fourth is that many people have simply left their bodies, leaving behind a zombie-like appearance. So I ask you, what does it mean? Oh, I’m supposed to be asking spirit the same question. Whisper away, sweet spirit of the loving light. Communicate the rapture in a language I can understand.
As you have discovered, sweet child of the light, the soul remembers the warm, loving embrace in the arms of divinity. When the times are challenging, it can feel like prophesy is at hand, with large numbers desiring to return home. It is not that hard to imagine a mass ascension from the planet Earth, and there are many ways this could occur. The current pandemic inspires such thoughts of an Earthly conclusion.
When humans want to escape the pain and suffering life can offer, going to find the safety and refuge offered by home is a natural next step. Leaving the body energetically creates a separation from feeling the strain currently experienced by the Earth and its inhabitants. Many are experiencing life not fully in the body, due to the uncertainty and inability to find security within the current paradigms.
The true meaning of the rapture is returning to faith, freedom from attachments, surrendering to that over which you have no control, and releasing the burdens that weigh you down. Enlightenment is all of these measures that allow for feelings of supreme happiness, joyful bliss, and a connection to love often reaching the point of delirium. The soul knows such pleasures and remembers the vibration of being carried away by love.
Living the story of your life is best done in this present moment, void of projections, false assumptions, and an unhealthy focus on the future or the past. In each moment is an opportunity to either perpetuate suffering by allowing the mind to maintain the conflict, or to alleviate suffering by remembering love. With every journey, there is a beginning, a middle, and an end. Even small measure of completion, bring a satisfying peace at the soul level.
Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell
