Working with people returning from active service brings a common theme to the discussion. Being in the military carries the cost of a commitment to a unique lifestyle in our culture. When leaving that way of life to return home, the letdown in one area can rise above the rest. Descriptions of getting up every morning, with a duty to carry out a mission with team members who are part of your community, can present a great emotional challenge when returning home. The purpose found in each mission can be sacred in the struggle for survival. Sadly, the suicide rate is at extremely high levels for our veterans right now.
Many people feel lost with their mission. In today’s world of uncertainty, it’s easy to get confused about our real mission in life, our purpose, and why we are even here. We may not understand our life purpose in linear terms as it relates to the journey of the soul. I can do activities with great purpose, but I’m not sure that’s the same thing as MY purpose.
We have it pretty easy in our daily lives, which can lead to laziness. I’ve been guilty of that myself! (tee hee). These thoughts forced me to look at my mission, my purpose, and my hero journey. I was denied entry into the military because of a bum leg from a football injury, which spared me the Vietnam experience. The question is how can we connect with our purpose, our tribe, and clarity around a daily mission?
The seeds of your existence are found in the energy known as consciousness. Subtle layers form dimensions that vibrate to produce a colorful magnetic field in and around your physical body. In the depth of your being and at the core of your essence, the mission is clear. The life experience provides an opportunity to journey into the mystery in search of the answers to those questions. No one person or one experience will quench your thirst for knowledge.
With a discipline such as the military provides, there is more clarity on the mission, which adds a value to life. It may be challenging on many fronts, yet the purpose, the mission, and the support are clear. Such a way of being in the world is hard to replace. With too many options comes an opportunity for energy to leak, especially around the wounds of trauma. Withdrawal-induced symptoms can lead to life-ending measures due to the instability created by the leaks.
The answers you seek are not found in the mind through linear thought, but through the heart and non-linear understanding of illumination. Oscillating frequencies create a vibrant light that shines on the truth of the mission. These unwavering straps of energy contain timelines, mapping, emotions, and cravings. To follow the threads of each is to feel the compass in your heart that is pointing toward your purpose.
Your mind supports the findings when brought to stillness. Your body seeks to inform when asked with a willingness to receive. Your spirit opens to love when allowed. Your soul follows the path to enlightenment. Contraction of consciousness comes from fear, anxiety, overactivity, depression, and any action void of a commitment to love. Expansion of consciousness comes through a focus on finding love for self, love for your fellow humans, love for spirit, and love for life. Through the expansion of consciousness, the mission becomes clear enough to recognize the inclinations coming from the compass of the heart.
Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell
“I was taught to think about mission and people. Mission. What are you trying to accomplish? Don’t do anything until you know what the mission is. Drilled into our hearts and into our heads.” Colin Powell
