I love words! It may be partly that I love creative communication. Some of you long-term Whisperees know this about me. Over the years I have coined words, terms, and phrases. Examples are RSS (Restless Soul Syndrome) and Spiritual Zygote. Over the last week, I began to spontaneously coin my own creative expressions: It’s food for fodder, to which Beckie would ask, What does that mean? I don’t know but it sounds right, I would reply.
When I looked up the word fodder, one definition was coarse food for cattle and livestock. I had to laugh, thinking my great language skills were expressing that my ideas are coarse cattle food (tee hee). But as I looked further, I found that in an idiomatic way, fodder means food for thought. I was telling others my ideas were food for food for thought. Ahh, I am such a wordsmith! Fodder also means people and things that are useful. So now I was judging my ideas as useful. But then the word’s meaning took a dark turn.
The word fodder can come with a negative connotation. Russian officials used the word to describe soldiers as cannon fodder or food for enemy cannons. It provides a context with no real argument for a strong base. In other words, fodder can be used to describe propaganda. Today, I want to put some light onto this word with a positive spin. Spiritual fodder can be used to describe what you consider useful to your soul’s growth. To understand it in a positive light, let’s join together for a whisper on the subject:
Everyone has spiritual fodder. What you’re consuming energetically is sometimes so subtle it does not reach full conscious awareness. At other times, you’re fully aware of your intended consumption. The spirit does need to be fed, but the form may not always appeal to one’s idea of spirituality. Acknowledging an accomplishment can take positive energy to deep levels.
Humans are always searching for spiritual fodder. It is the quest to experience the energy of love. There is a deep desire in the central core of human consciousness to feel and experience love. This describes the very nature of something without clear form, but with an absolute function. Usefulness cannot be measured, for the value is beyond comprehension.
It is through the elevation of spiritual vibrations within that you will find where form meets function. Spiritual guides are a great example. Some will examine a form of the loving light, while this may escape others. There is no need for judgment or concern, for the spirit knows the connection to ancestors, loved ones, angelic beings, and energy based in the Upper Astral Plane. Spiritual fodder is a type of consumption related to the higher vibrations.
Even a creative idea can be fodder for the spirit. An advantage is realized when creativity is free and available to express due to the absence of destabilizing factors. Those factors include stress, demotivation, depression, anxiety, and misalignment with core values. The focus on spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing, are key ingredients in the recipe for positive spiritual consumption. Self-care is never selfish for it helps you establish a positive position of influence in the world. Spiritual fodder is the essence of soul growth and development.
Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell
