Thanks, Anne, for asking the question of the year so far! It’s always an interesting process to look back on 15 years of writing, only to find not one whisper on the subject mentioned. With a topic that comes up almost daily, I have never thought about explaining the Higher Self. Trying to define the Higher Self is like trying to define God (tee hee). It is a daunting task when asked to give form to that which has none. Only a spiritual person would have interest in defining the Higher Self.
Well, here goes! A dictionary might define the Higher Self as a person’s true or internal mind, soul, or nature. The Higher Self represents the seeker within, on a quest to find your inner self and your own uniqueness. It is some part of the system that has evolved during this lifetime. That part of you communicates with your heart to connect your inner self with your outer reality.
The Higher Self influences use of information held in the soul. It reveals direction using the purest energy found from within. Located at the top of the egg-shaped field or peak of the aura, the Spiritual Body is home to the Higher Self. Let’s get to the whisper, which is likely coming through the channels linked to the subject of our inquiry:
The Higher Self is a partial system of the entire human network. Designed as a channel between the mind, body, and spirit, the Higher Self operates as a medium. The Higher Self moderates information with regard to your true spiritual nature. Often held back due to some form of internal resistance, the voice within can lack definition.
The center of conscious awareness, your Higher Self communicates with the spirit, the soul, the mind, the heart, and the body. Channels connecting these systems can become clogged with the residue of intense experiences. What follows is a feeling of disconnection from the Higher Self. A sense of being lost, lonely, left behind, or cut off occurs when channels around the Higher Self become cluttered.
In its role as moderator, the Higher Self becomes the center of the Spiritual Body dimension. The Higher Self offers guidance and direction through all spiritual aspects of life. One model set by the Higher Self is to govern life by influencing self-examination. Life purpose (mission) and integrity (inner core) are encouraged to surface by the quiet observer within.
A consciousness authority, the Higher Self communicates through the non-physical dimensions. Your Higher Self can access the subtle energies known as angels, loved ones, and spirit guides. With an open door to the Akashic records, the Higher Self can access infinite wisdom. Conveyance of that information is a transfer of divine love and light. Unencumbered by ego, the Higher Self has infinite reach. As the innermost loving voice, it offers a purity that signals a true compass is available for your life.
Intuition creates the vibration that is the voice of your Higher Self.
