Angel Whispers – Overused Words

We use words to express our thoughts and feelings. Many become our keywords for life! (tee hee) When those words become overused, they lose their meaning. A friend pointed this out recently, using the word trauma as an example. After overusing the word as the source of a problem, it can become a distraction.

Spiritual bypassing occurs when spiritual practices become the tools of avoidance. For example, think of the term positive thinking. I’ve seen it used in countless articles; most are titled “The X-Number of Keys to Happiness.” Some spend hours trying to find the hidden blessing in a negative event. They might overuse the mantra Everything happens for a reason. Whether that is true or not may not matter if used to gloss over painful, unresolved feelings. Overused words can lead to outdated thinking. The result can be that I don’t tend to my wounded self because I’m too busy trying to get clear on why something happened.

Have you ever had someone tell you how evolved they are? I’m sure that people who are overtly focused on the Light don’t always avoid the darkness. It is challenging to acknowledge negative energy as the first step toward healing. I must remember I’m perfect the way I am. No, wait, is that another defect in my thinking or my karma! There’s another overused word. Call it what you will, but it must be time to see the truth in my reality and act accordingly. For me, that means it’s Sunday morning and time for a whisper:

Getting pulled by words and thoughts is natural. What demands your awareness is the direction you are going. As you plunge into your darkness, know that you bring the light into your consciousness. The only way to achieve balance is to let the pendulum swing without trying to control or manipulate.

Humans have a natural ability to heal, so the key is to get in touch with your innate power. Avoidance is an energy that leaks. Sometimes it takes an aggressive approach to build the power of your senses. Taking time to see your wounded self means you are being pulled upward toward your evolved self.

Acknowledgment of pain produced by a past experience can be positive thinking. The ego mind will convince you otherwise in a repeating pattern of distortion, for the mind is proficient at denying its own reality. Residual energy in the Mental Body can influence a closed loop that perpetuates suffering. Assumptions, judgments, and attitudes are held in the residue through successive lifetimes as part of an established mechanism used by the ego to claim success when facing a threat, real or imagined.

Through facing the light and the darkness with equal measure, the human mind dismantles the ego. Nurture strength with an evolving consciousness that does not form conclusions. Refuse to judge the events of life as either positive or negative. In this manner, you cultivate the virtues and values that expand awareness. Your soul is being pulled toward love in a forum of multiple dimensions. The question to be answered is how you will embrace life on Earth.

Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell
