Everyone has their own unique human design features. One specific to me seems more like a rule! (tee hee). In essence, inserting myself into situations can lead to a negative outcome. Things don’t go that smoothly unless I am first invited. The question of what is an invitation has been a subject that takes up hours of my brain activity.
An invitation is defined as the action of asking someone to go somewhere or to do something. But sometimes it is the situation or action itself that is tempting or inviting. Is temptation an invitation? Do I need a written or formal invitation to live out my destiny? Interaction with others is part of a social construct. I take this to mean an invitation is a natural occurrence. The inviter takes a prominent position or even a position of power.
There are moral obligations involved as well. Social standards, etiquette, and the dreaded expectations lead to an invite. Today, I am exploring invitations from the subtle realm. Something beyond the psychological overtones would lead me to look at the energy. Does a glance, body language, verbal tone, or something more subtle invite me? How easy it is to miss out on a subtle nuance. It’s time for an invitation to spirit for a whisper on the subject:
An invitation is communicated in three ways. The direct invitation would be the most formal version of all. You receive written or expressed content that makes it very clear you are invited. There is an indirect invitation. An example would be a friend was told to bring a guest to the party. Another would be a gathering where you were included through assumption. The third would be an abstract invitation. This would come through the intuitive senses, which could lead to doubt. Without direct communication, are you invited?
Maybe your dream job has been posted, but you think they need to recognize you first in some way. Ego says you weren’t invited, but is that the voice of truth? Just because you were unknown by the inviter does not mean you were left out. It could mean the opposite. You won’t always have a direct connection to the host of the party, which means you must introduce yourself. By taking charge, you are fulfilling your destiny to connect with a central character.
Intuition must inform you how and when to answer an abstract invitation. Discernment is used to define the difference between ego-driven insertion and an answer to something subtle. Only the heart will be able to determine the answer to the invitation. The mind has a tendency to analyze what is direct or indirect, but cannot understand the abstract. One reason is the brain feels sadness and anger when threatened by exclusion. The lack of a direct invitation triggers discomfort associated with the sense of ostracism.
A quick ego check will allow intuition to determine the natural flow of energy around an invitation. Answering a call from the Universe is not something to be missed out of fear of rejection. It is a subtle, nuanced opening connected to a collaboration of souls. A cosmic occurrence when energy meets in a stream of expanded consciousness is the ultimate invitation to dance with spirit.
