Despite the predictable scenes shown on the 24-hour news cycle, many are compelled to continue watching. Any form of hyper-vigilance indicates the challenge of switching the negativity off. Rumination is another sign of being pulled toward the negative. Trouble sleeping, anxiety, and heightened stress are signs of the hypo-arousal trauma response. I see the challenge of knowing what is happening, and using that knowledge to hold a space of hope for those involved. But I also see people shutting down completely, which is a self-protection mechanism.

It’s good to have someone to talk with during times such as these. Even a brief conversation can bring a sense of peace at times of uncertainty. Why not avoid the news altogether? Research has shown that discipline is better than total restriction. Limiting the amount of negativity consumed is a way to manage emotions. There are ways to manage remote exposure to trauma, which gives hope. Perhaps we can find more hope in a whisper from spirit on the subject.
It’s easy to feel powerless when you fully understand what others are going through. The key is to relate from a positive position. This is truly standing in your power when you act from a personal space to deliver positive energy to the collective. Holding a space for others requires separating fact from feelings.
Taking positive action is a way to bring balance to the emotional body. Donating time, treasures, and talent gives a tangible boost to well-being. For some who have never fully faced their negative experiences, the lack of control can become an issue. Control can be an illusion unless fully understood.
You can develop strategies of dealing with things within your control, and acknowledge that which you cannot. Unprocessed emotions build up in the system to create issues with coping with and processing current events. The result is a type of low-vibration clutter in the energy channels. A limitation on the flow of energy reduces the aura. Because the aura provides a stable energy field, any reduction leads to increased chances of absorbing the trauma from remote locations.
Intentional focus on expanding the aura gives greater emotional stability. A healthy and full auric field is your best defense and is within your control. Balance the diet of negativity with equal doses of positive reinforcement from the beauty that still exists in the world. A new timeline on the Earth depends on your ability to manage your most powerful resource, known as human energy.
