According to Forbes magazine, the average American consumes more than 130 pounds of sugar each year, which is enough to fill a dumpster with Skittles over an entire lifetime (tee tee). In 1822, the average person consumed 45 grams of sugar each year, which is less than the total sugar found in one can of today’s soda.
Approximately 1 in 5 people will be obese by the year 2025, and 1 in 5 deaths are linked to obesity. Unrefined sugar and refined fructose intake is linked to heart disease and other illnesses, as a primary driver to metabolic dysfunction. The sugar situation is worsened by the fact that some sweeteners are hidden in the ingredients of processed foods.
When I went on a campaign to cut back on sugar consumption, I was awakened to the challenge. Almost every processed food from ketchup to BBQ sauce, from bread to potato chips, from lemonade to energy drinks is loaded with sweeteners. This is one sad comment on our society! So what does this have to do with a whisper on sweetness (tee hee)? During a recent session, the angels whispered that my client was addicted to sugar because they were seeking to experience the sweetness of life. Let’s tune in and see what else we can glean from an angel who whispers on the subject of sweetness:
Many of you wonder why you chose this path to incarnate at this critical junction in human evolution. You are a witness to your own evolution. How do you perceive the process of life on Earth? With all the serious things happening in the world, supported by a 24-hour news cycle, your soul can feel burdened by the current state of the world. You have to decide how to respond to your external world by taking care of your internal self.
This is your message: To remember who you are by knowing your place in the world. Are you working in every spare moment? Do you sense there is never enough time for yourself? Even if your work is creative, enjoyable, and meaningful, you need leisure time to smell the roses or cast your eyes on beautiful people, things, and places. You came to have experiences that are wide-ranging, to capture the fullness of life. If you hurry from one project to the next, you could become a slave to time in a way that says there is never enough. When you slow down your pace, time slows to match your vibrations, placing you in the flow of managing time as a form of abundance.
The physical body matches frequencies with the spiritual body. Fulfillment on the spiritual level will always exceed physical gratification that stems from desires simply being met. This is due to the depth of an experience reaching the center of your spiritual essence. Perhaps life has been harsh at times, and you have developed a thick outer shell. Tasting the sweet things in life penetrates that shell to expose the beautiful gem that shines at the core of your existence.
Life’s not limited to being either in the light or in the darkness; it is the combination of every life experience that creates each chapter in the journey of the soul. You deserve to be bathed in the energy of love, so taste the sweet nectar and, above all else, be sweet to yourself!
Bring joy, ease suffering and create beauty, then dance like you mean it!
Blessings, Russell
“It is the tenderness that breaks our hearts. The loveliness that leaves us stranded on the shore, watching the boats sail away. It is the sweetness that makes us want to reach out and touch the soft skin of another person. And it is the grace that comes to us, undeserving though we may be.”
